Out of the total 61 projects, 28 of them were launched on the Qeshm Island and the extra heavy crude oil refinery is the most important of them, inaugurated in the 41st series of government’s weekly inauguration plan, IRNA reported.
Hamid-Reza Momeni, head of Qeshm Free Trade Zone, said during the inaugural ceremony that the projects are in the fields of oil, gas, energy, fishery, and tourism industries aiming to create 2,240 new jobs.
He said that the extra heavy crude oil refinery will produce 35 thousand bpd of tar and create 295 new jobs. It was completed with a $240-million-toman budget.
Production of high-quality products (Euro 5), reduction of environmental pollution, energy efficiency, and helping export are among the goals of the project.
The other projects inaugurated by President Rouhani on Thursday located in Gilan, Bushehr, Qom, East Azerbaijan, and Markazi provinces.
