Iran’s embassy in Spain announced on Tuesday that Iran Air is to operate its flights along the Tehran-Madrid route in September after a five-month hiatus.

The license of the airline's normal and weekly flights on the Tehran-Madrid-Tehran route have been issued by the Spanish aviation authorities, said the Iranian embassy in a statement, according to the Iranian Students’ News Agency (ISNA).

Flights between Iran and Spain were suspended due to the border closure after the coronavirus outbreak.
